Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the US. She is a Greek-American author, syndicated writer of columns and businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books. She is also the co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington, an independently-owned liberal news site and a television host as well as a writer and an philanthropist. Following her move to England from Greece at 16 and obtaining an MA in Economics at Cambridge University. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first president and she took it at the age of 21. She became a syndicated conservative writer following graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a year later, she developed an online platform to voice opinions which offered critiques of the political landscape. The fame she gained helped her to convince several celebrities to contribute their opinion on current events, as well as politics and culture. Arianna was famous when she made the decision in 2003 to run as an Independent candidate in the California Recall Election in order to succeed the former governor Davis. Additionally, she was involved in the Detroit-based initiative that advocated for cars that are fuel efficient. Forbes listed her 12th in their list of the Top Popular Media Women. Guardian also included the HuffingtonPost in their top 100 list in 2010. In 2011 AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made her the head of the media company, which also included a number of at the time-current AOL properties too such as Engadget AOL music Style list and Patch Media. Elli was the son of Konstantinos who was a Journalism and management expert. They were very close to her father. However, it was the relationship she had with her mother that formed her. From her early years, she showed leadership abilities which are still widely admired. As a 16-year-old, she moved over in her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. She was a member of Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college, where she was the third and first female to be elected the president. In 1972, she earned an honorary degree in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a columnist critic and an anchor on TV. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own novels with his help.
