Taylor

Taylor Swift has become a rare pop phenomenon: A superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture and became an iconic pop star that is set to endure forever, and sweeping over every corner of the globe. Swift left her heritage in the country genre like a second skin and showed that she was the most refined pop sensibility of her generation. Swift was the only singer/songwriter who knew how to be a part of the trending zeitgeist and take it when she went on tour. Swift's early tracks, such as the neotribute to Tim McGraw were a testament of her ability. The second album Fearless from 2008 showed an songwriter discovering her voice, and also a larger fan base. The album was able to have significant appeal not just within the U.S. where it racked seven platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and the hit single You Belong with Me but throughout the world performing particularly well with Canada, the U.K. Canada and Australia. Swift took off to the peak of her game after the release of Speak Now. In the following three years, Swift's popularity was growing with the release of three albums -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she moved into a world of pop music where her talents were already well-established. The popularity of her music grew after she altered her plan with 2020's pared-down siblings Folklore (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
